 Where does the name "Wetpups" come from?
The affectionate nickname “Wetpups” was derived from abbreviating ‘Western’ to ‘Wet’ and adding a ‘u’ to the ‘PPS’ part of our initials.

Our History
The idea of Western Province Prep School was born in a large sunny garden overlooking the River Thames in the spring of 1912. Christopher Stansbury had gone to Kingston to spend the weekend with some old friends, Dr and Mrs Sauer in Dorset.
